Question Safest way to clean your motor

Whazzzzuuuuuuup!
How do you guys clean your L motors? I have JDM's stage 1 so i have the open air filter. I'm worried about the rubber piece that fits over the tip of the filter and goes into the hole in the fender. Do i just wrap something around the filter. I will probably be using simple green for the motor cleanup.
Thanks, J-mart

I just spray on the Simple Green, wipe down any particularly dirty areas, and spray off. Dry with leaf blower

I think some spray on tire dressing, armor all, etc. but I don't do anything else.

If you have a JDM airfilter kit, do you just cover it? How?

I cover the filter with a small plastic garbage bag, and pull out that foam thingy that runs from the end of the filter to the fenderwell.

Hope this helps.
