Question Dual Nitrous bottle question

What is the process for connecting two nitrous bottles to one line? Does it double the pressure? I'm going to have 2 bottle in the back of the truck and would like to know if I can only have one connected at a time or if I can get a Y connector and have both connected at the same time. Thanks.

Two in one line

Will result in you being able to draw twice as much CFM, but that shouldn't matter.

Pressure won't go up, but you need to keep both tanks at the same pressure so they don't drain each other (one tank at 0 and one at 1500 = rush of NO2 into the 0 tank)

You need either some sort of manifold or check valve system I would guess. (I'm used to SCUBA manifolds)

I have NX heaters for both of them which should keep them at approx. the same pressure...

Just connect them with a Y that you can get from NOS, the biggest reason for two bottles is to help not let the pressure drop as much as a single when the system is activated (though the pressure drop helps richen up the system at the big end) if you pay close attention, with two bottles you can keep you tune up a little more aggressive cause the pressure dosnt drop quite as much.

just ny 2 cents...

PS

are you the guy that posted over on the HALO board???

Avdawg, that is me. I wouldn't let me register as easterisland because of the board changes. Actually main reason for the 2 bottles is because I have two bottles and I may need backup w/o having to go to work and do a quick refill.

FuB, Thanks.

I got it from JEGS. Search for dual bottle holder... It is a very nice quick release system.
My only complaints are that the aluminum will scratch the bottle(it should have came with a rubber gasket which could stick to the bracket like the NOS quick release brackets) And that the brackets are not angled for the bottle angle.
