so what's the big deal

what's the big deal about the 2003's again??? The wheels were a waste of design time. Should have just went back to the 99 and 00's, that's what they look like.

We should all print out the picture of the burnout and bring it to our dealership's service center and have them tell us how these truck weren't meant to be raced and beat on.

Additions to Sales Brochure

Air gap increased between bumper fascia and grill surround to increase air flow into radiator and promote better brake cooling.

Air gap added to hood on passenger side to aid in battery cooling.

Recessed areas added to wheels to collect brake dust that would otherwise be expelled into the atmosphere, thereby protecting the environment.

Sheez..... I should work for Ford Marketing!!!

When you read the marketing schmooz, you really have to be careful, because they tend to word it "as comapred to a regular f150".

We've always had "bigger brakes", they've been the same size since 1999.

The things I saw that were "new" were:
* Improved steering? (they never mentioned it previously)
* Larger payload (+600lbs)
* Brush-alum trim
* "higher quality" carpet
* new colors

I may be tempted to trade in for a shadow grey one. I really like that color. Of course it will cost me a $1k in labor to remove all the parts off my 2000 and put it back to stock...hmm...must think, must think.

It's always been 91. At least on my 2000 it is. Wheels still look like *** I say. And the build quality on the marketing demo is pretty sad, as well as the color.

Missing

I don't see any tips for the exhaust in the pic of the right side of the truck. Are they so dirty they disappear in the pic or are they not even there?

Would one of you guys be able to photoshop the side shot of the 03' in the Dark Shadow Gray color? I think it's pretty sad that they didn't think to at least use one of the carryover colors from the 02' models if all they were going to do was stick the 03' rims on an 02'. Thanks in advance for doing this.
