I had my 99 for 2 yrs and never checked the mileage

I've had my 01 for 1 1/2 yrs and never checked the mileage

Never checked the mileage on the LTD either, but I know it's a lot worse than the Lightning

I avg. about 12...with the street chip..I don`t have a stock setting on the chip. I'm usually breakin` the law. I drive over the speed limit on the hiway and I get alot of that in. This of course does't avg. in any octane above 93 that I mix up....Like most anything else it gets addictive. I think once when I was bein` a good boy I think I got 14. Chances are if I`m breathin` I`m breakin` a law. My lawyer drives an M-5 so I like to think I`m helping the economy.

Angry

There should be laws against people who own L's, and are concerned about MPG!

Someone said when an L is goin down the 1/4 mile you get 2.6 mpg.

I believe it!! I go through 1/8 to 1/4 tank like nothing at the track.

And I have lots of hardened black goo to clean out of my wheel wells too, funny, only on the back

With only an occasional WOT run while driving to and from work and lunch, I get 14+(documented) with 15+ every once in a while. I drive at 70-80 mph on I-75 and I take my L out of o/d in my 'town' driving as the BR7s misfire at lower rpms. Might get even better mpg if I'd get off my adze and put my Denso IT24s in.

I have the IT-24's and am getting about 9-10 mpg. Maybe it is the driver?

Do you think this is why our lil computer thingee on the ceiling does not show fuel mileage and stuff like that?

In the 00' averaged 15mpg.
in the 01' average is 14 mpg.
01' has a 4lb pulley and maybe the lower rear end contributes to the mpg's?
I have no idea what I could get if i went a full tank of gas with out sticking my foot in it a few times. Beleive me I've tried and have never been able to do it yet. Its kind of like licking the center of a Tootsie Pop with out biting it, just cant be done!

I dont know why everyone is always concerned about gas mileage and gas prices..

When ever I go to the gas station is is 5 dollars. It always cost me 5 dollars no matter what the price of gas is!!!

LOL

Last week I drove about 700 miles, mostly interstate, with cruise control set at 70mph and AC on. I got just over 17mpg. Overall for the past 6000miles I'm averaging 14mpg.

Positive spin: every gallon consumed means that much less power the middle east will have on world geopolitics in the future. Kinda like that Pinkard&Bowden Elvis song Elvis was a Narc : ...and every pill that he would eat, would mean one less on the street, so the King ate 'em all for you and me..."
