Politically correct(?) DA

is full of it. Bet she blames guns for crime, rather than criminal behavior. Getting a lawyer will be cheaper than taking the financial hit on selling truck, plus outrageous insurance costs in future. No offense, but you must have been living in denial, not to have appreciated the risk after receiving a couple of tickets in a short time? Time to be a slow, careful, and responsible driver!

i know a guy that was going 180 down i-5, but when the cop tried to get him he kept going.

he lost his license for 3 years and had to pay a big fine, no jail.

but he also ran from the cops.

personaly i would sell the truck because you know they are going to take your license anyway.

save up your money and when you get your license back buy a new L : )

Try getting a lawyer first. A good lawyer who really knows the system(i.e. $$$$$) can you really do miracles and get you out of lots of trouble. It might be worth the money, especially if he/she finds a way to keep you from losing your license. Get a lawyer that specializes in nothing but traffic laws. This DA as someone said earlier, sounds like he/she is exactly the type of person that would blame beer for drunk drivers, guns for criminal activity, and Big Mac's for heart attacks. Don't give up, and keep your hopes up, but if your lawyer can't get you out of it, then just put your truck away in the garage in storage so that at least you can look at it to cheer you up.

Thanks for all of the advice... positive or negitive...

I said right from the beginning that it's my fault... there is no doubt about that... My first ticket was at 740 miles on the odometer... I was out late at night with a friend "testing" the truck... I hit 120 on a long straight-away... I was clocked at 115...

A terrible choice on my part to have been out there doing that... the following tickets were for squawkin the tires, then one more speeding (15 over) from an airplane cop (which I'm totally disputing).

It took all of that to teach me a lesson. I now drive very calmly, with the exception of an occasional sprint to put a vette in it's place...

I'm so pissed with myself... Terrible decisions on my part...

"Damn kids..."

Again,

Thanks to all who posted.

PS - I Have a lawyer... the 115 ticket is being dropped for sure to 25 over, but that is still a mandatory 2 week suspension in WI... I'm not worried about the license... I'm worried about insurance after they learn my license was suspended...

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, bro.

I truly thought it would kill me to sell mine, but you know. . . the '02 F150 I got to replace it is just as fun to drive (minus the gut-wrenching acceleration) and WAY less expensive to own, maintain,& modify.

As far as a Lightning being a trouble causing vehicle in and of itself. . .I say that's wrong. Is a Ferrari, a Z06 Vette, or a Porche 911 turbo a trouble causing vehicle. . .no, but somehow the Lightning is. Hmmm. I'm with Speedin' Bob. . .time to raise the B.S. flag-

Later,

WrongdayJ

How does the D.A. know that his truck is a performance vehicle?

I'm curious...the tickets probably state: F150 right? Since when is an F150 a performance vehicle.

So argue this You have a F150. LoL

Insurance Advice

If you know your agent well....Talk to him about it..If you didnt have to file an SR-22, insurance companies only run MVR's randomly.

You have a real good chance they will never know..Make that the last of your worries.

You can get a DUI and if you get a diversion more than likely your insurance company wont know.

Go to the DL bureau..Can you change your DL to a different #??

You should be okay on that dude..

Man, I'd sell the truck to my mother. She wouldn't care.

Only difference between us is that you were caught.

Last speeding ticket for me was 2 years ago, we all know my driving habits.
