Bassani / Silver bullet/ MAC? FINAL ROUND!!!

I know this subject has been diccussed numerous times before. I am still having a hard time deciding. I have never personally heard any of the three systems. It is hard to get a real grasp of the sound from the vid. clips. The ones that madhouse posted on the MAC were really good. As I metioned before I am looking for an exhaust that will give me a low rumble (like the Borla's sound on the olde 93-93 camaro LT1's). I want the system to be heard, especially at WOT, but would not like to have a loud drone at freeway speeds. The silver bullet and MAC seem to have that low end rumble, were the Bassani seems louder, but also raspier and not as low rumble. Which system would better suit my taste, price not being an issue? PLEASE REPLY

THANKS

I've heard MAC, seen it and I like it. Great for the money. Heard Bassani-expensive in my opinion because tho' I like my truck I don't LIVE for it. Good if ya want to spend the bucks. You know-what's the most you'll take for that exhaust??? LOL
Silver Bullet-haven't crossed paths but I'm sure it's good, and not as expensive as Bassani.
MAC is coated steel, the others are SS. IMHO, anyone of them on a bad day sound much better than stock, so you have nothing to lose with whatever one you go with.

Bassani is well worth the money. Just bought mine and love it. Great rumble and at 75/80 no uncomfortable noise. They are in stock and ship right away. Had mine one week to the day after I ordered it. Hope this helps your decision

I have had asingle magnaflow muffler 12568 in my lightning. It's way too quiet!!!! JDM said the 12468 is louder, but you can actually loose power with it because since it is a shorter muffler it doesn't produce enough backpressure.

fast gator, where did you get your bassani from? How much did you pay?

Thanks

It's still louder than stock, though, right? I would like to get a tad more rumble at idle, but don't want to shriek at WOT. I do a lot of city driving and cannot afford to attract attention

Thanks,

TLS

Thumbs up

Like Bruce said Bassani all the way. The sound is just awesome. I cant wait to get my long tube headers and high flow cats on then it sounds like a wild animal.

Mark at LightningForce, one of our supporting vendors. I believe it was $668 with shipping. Mark DOES give great customer service, I wouldn't think twice about buying from him again

MAC

I put the MAC on last week or so ago, extra fitting /adjusting neede if you have slapper bars, and you need to go back after a couple of days and re-tighten all clamps, nice big 3.5 tips, chrome, the whole system will probably last about 5 years?

The sound for me is perfect, sorta big blockish, not overbearing,at WOT the supercharger/with open air filter is neck and neck with the exhaust, they are =in sound at WOT, the only way to drown out the eaton would be to run straight pies or headers..

I,m sur all systems are great ,bassini ,borla , silverbullet,MAC,spintech, But for the money [I} had to spend the MAC fit the bill = good sound and tips look great,i doubt any of the systems add;s any performance though, if you have more$$$ to spend i would probably go the SS route for longevity.just my truthful opinion..

I avoided the Bassani because of the cost.Went through three exhaust setups before I broke down and ordered it.I wish I would have done it to start with.I would have saved the money I spent trying not to buy Bassani.Theres a reason everyone compares their exhaust to it.The only regret you'll ever have will be the CC bill, but the Bassani will be there long after the bill is forgotten.

As someone else put it:

"Show her you love her, and buy the Bassani."

I am diabolically trying to come up with a way to afford ordering it this week. Stupid insurance bills.
