Question Boss 5.4?

My friend is asking me about a Roush F150 he saw on a dealer lot...

what do they have for specs, and what can be expected from them performance wise? how much do they usually go for without dealer markup? thanks.

ps: a picture of one would be appreciated, i can't find much on the web.

A LOT of show and the base stage 2 kit is $9,400!!!.... Handling is supposed to be great but NO POWER..
stock 5.4 motor+air induction kit+cat back+extra weight=slow truck

all the dealers do is take a regular f150 off the lot and add one of the stage kits. not really a roush IMO. I'd take an L over it anyday

Unhappy Roush F150

I almost bought the Roush F150 when I saw one at Ford dealer. After I asked the price I was like WTF.......more expansive than a Lightning. All I can say is cool truck, great handling, but NO POWER!

my buddy said the one on the lot was yellow with a black hood or something...the ones on the roush page do not look like that.

yeah, yellow with a black hood sounds more like a boss 150... even slower and no handling.. just plain eye candy stuff.

I saw a 4x4 version when I was in the market but was dumbfounded by the price. They took a $34,000 Lariat and added some appearance items plus rims and were asking $44,000 WTF? They should have taken a base XLT added the appearance options and charged $34,000. Without performance mods the Lariat trim level is just right for the money unless you prefer the KR. After looking at the website I wouldn't even buy their stage ?? with the centrifugal blower. I'm sure the handling was fine but I don't think the power would be there when you need it. The Roush Expedition is even a farse for that kind of money you could buy a Gator or a Denalli.

BTW: not to diss Jack or anyone who has one of these trucks but the sticker must add at least 50hp.
