Anyone know what a DTC 5284 is????
Is there a list somewhere of the error codes and what they mean?
This code is on my wifes 2001 F-150 (not a lightning)

Did you get this code from looking through your odometer?
My L had the same code while messing around with my odometer in order to use the digital tach to find out were my chip was shifting exactly.
Anyway,this code is not in the ob2 code list so i just unplugged my battery with the lights on for ten minutes and the code[or non existing code] went away.

 

Yep. Was playing around with the gaige to see the temp readout and strolled across that code.
I will try the reset with the negitive off the battery.

Thats not a PCM code. It just an internal HEC test that means that your key has been in the "on" position more than once without a oil pressure switch input. Surely no one ever turns the key on without starting the engine, lol.

Oh yea, and DTC = diagnostic trouble code
