Question 11/12

Hello

I am new to Lightnings....

I currently own a 01 GT Mustang that runs in the high 11's on good days. I have really liked the Lightning and now I have enough money to purchase one as well as mod it. I also want to have this truck running in the low 12's/high 11's. I have a list of mods from MM & FF but I was wondering if you guys could help me with some stuff :

1) Where can I buy forged internals for the block? I want to run more psi from the blower but dont want to hurt the engine in the process.

2) Do they make High Flow Cylinder heads for the 5.4L? Where can I find them?

3) The Cobra R also has a 5.4L and I believe it is N/A yet it makes 385 HP/ 385 ft. lbs. Can I set up the Lightings engine like this? What would I need to buy?

Ok, so heres the list of the mods I know im going to be getting :
Cold Air Intake
Long Tube Headers (Where can I get these?)
High Flow Cats
Cat Back Exhaust
Chip
MAF Sensor
90mm TB
PowerAid TB Spacer

Sorry its so long, please answer the Q's if you can

Thank You

Go to www.teamjdm.com and get all the internal and HP info you can possibly absorb. Hell, give Jim a call. He is a great guy to talk to and he da@# sure knows his Fords.

from what i've seen, the mods you have listed will put you in the low 13's. you would most likely get better results with a set of drag slicks and the chip, along with a 4# lower boost pulley, all of this should be safe ( relatively) for the engine. This will vary depending on the truck/conditions. Others here will tell you. I recomend messing around with the search function, many people have different opinions, but it will take quite a list of mods to get into the 11's. A few people have made posts about what it took them to get there.
