Simple Green on the GO Box?

Hey, if I spray my engine down with simple green and LIGHTLY rinse it off, the towel dry it and start it to allow it to reach operating temp, will this be fine. Want to ge a little dust & grime off of it. Any problems I should look out for of is this a no-brainer. Thanx.

Hey, i did this 2 weeks ago on my 00 HD. The engine was just a little dirty. Not all super crudy, just some dust and stuff. I covered the alternator, and sprayed the engine down, then i sprayed it with simple green (diluted 25% SG and 75% water because if you don't dilute it, your hoses will turn white) and then let it sit for a few minutes, then hosed it off, dryed it with my leaf blower, and used vinylex on the engine compartment. Worked great, and i just used my garden hose. Looks better than new now. Don't have a before pic, but here's after....

good luck

Simple Green works great.

I normally use it on a warm engine.
Spray it down with SG. Let sit for a couple of minutes.
Start the engine and rinse it off with a mist.
Leave running until dry.
Dress the plastic/rubber stuff with the shiny stuff.

But, this is just what I think...
