I forgot though, your polaris octane is a direct rip off of the Blaster, even the hull mold is practically stolen, so I guess you could ride the blaster, but I would be more than willing to race you on a closed course and settle the issue of skill, I wouldn't go making those comments about other riders, don't say the Octane requires more skill than my ski....do some research before you make a blatant generalization....not flaming, just saying you should pay a little more attention to screen names....WAVEBLASTER785....lol....peace

Dude, Wave buddy, I wasn't takin a hit at you. I was just trying to say that stand ups take skill. Also when trying to hit on me, I have a superjet and a 96 polaris SLX. and I never stated anywhere that the octane takes more skill. Do some reseach and you might find where your head is. Because the octane is easier because of how the hull is constructed, and its not a rip of the super jet or SXi Pro, many of the mods that can be put on the engine are rips from superjet but the hull is a complete orginal made by Wameltons of CA. And BTW the even closest thing to your blaster is a Polaris Hurricane, either learn what your talking about better or shut your mouth.

Again Wave I wasn't trying to take one on you, but I live and breath jet skis more than my L, I'd even race if there were money in it. I have ridden a Blaster and a Hurricane, and nearly everything else out there. I love small ski's and they have all died off. but take your own advice. "do some research before you make a blatant generalization"

start it out of the water, rev it 2 or 3 times, let it idle for 20 seconds, no problems in the water

Thanks for the advice andrew...but mine sits in the water..so I can't really do that..unless I wanna trailor it in and out of the lake every day.

I have found that a lil WD40 in the cylinders and on the plugs does wonders.

Hey freakyelf, you're right, I made that post half asleep, my bad man. I actually ride the smaller skis and you are right, they have trailed off, and I'm sorry, didn't mean for it to sound like a hit on you or anything either....I was actually really pissed off when the hurricane came out though, was a rip and a half in my opinion. Check out the new Factory pipe pro mod pipe for the superjet if you are looking for some real power, I would love to retro it into my blaster but I would have to cut the hull....no fun.

Again, sorry, didn't mean to come off like an a$$ especially to a fellow rider....peace man

Hey Georgia Lightning, I have quite a few mods, I believe that in 96 on the Blaster they went to the 760 dual carb??

Mine started as a 701, its now a 785 big bore, ADA billet Girdled heads (girdled is imporant on the blaster), interchangeable domes, I have then set for 93 octane, dual mikuni's, ported, Factory pipe limited pipe (may go for mod), oil injection is gone, billet couplers, J prop, R&D intake, Jet dynamics ride plate, UMI bars....and a couple other little secrets, lol....
