Question Another Lowering Question!! ha ha

I am beginning to research lowering my L. I know there are alot of good threads that have been posted about lowering, actually a whole lot, but if any one has any recommendations i would really appreciate them. I am looking to do a 2/4 drop and i am not quite sure what is best on the front 2" drop. Can i get away with coils alone, or spindles, or both. I want to do it right, but with so many kits out there, i would rather get fellow L's input instead of websites and magazines. Thanks again , Greg

Listen to the captain.
The captain is good.
The captain is smart.
Obey the captain.

I was in the same situation a couple months ago. His web page is excellent and told me exactly what I needed to know. It's probably the best place to start.

The captain is your God.

And an all knowing one at that.

Personally, I went with the Hotchkis kit and QA1's with the addition of a panhard bar and truck-traks.

dont forget to address bumpstops and, more importantly, sway bar end links!

Seriously...

Your web page is simply one of the best I've seen covering a single topic. You address pretty much everything that has come up about lowering and you aren't a raving idiot...

Thanks for the great page, it's one of the reasons I was confident in lowering my L.

BellTech , gotta go with the 3/4 I would say. I have the 2/4 and it needs a bit more in the front. Then again, I have been considering going to the 4/6 kit with a notch anyhow

Does the Bell-Tech 3/4 kit require new shocks, or will the stock Bilstein's work?

Thumbs up

You should get some drop shocks from belltech. The nitro active ones are what I bought. They cost a bit more but I figured their top of the the line had to be good. They definitly are, nice firm and responsive.

Wink Another Lowering Question!! ha ha

Botter,

Belltech works great! I did a 2 - 4 and found the rear to low.
So reinstalled stock rear shackles and used their Nitro Active
shocks. Rides great and launches good at strip! 60 ft times
can get down to 1.84 when I get it right!
