Supercharged Tundra

No competition for the L and and a much heftier pricetag. I guess it's a good alternative for those who need 4WD.

I saw a 2wd extracab run 13.90's on slicks. V-6 model. Not bad considering.

I've been following this whole Tundra supercharger saga on another board, and the blower was available only a few days ago. There's one guy who's had one installed, but it looks like there will be some growing pains involved, especially when it comes to tuning and such. I think when they get the fuel and timing issues hammered out, it might actually be competitive with an L. Latest ratings on the motor are 350 hp and 450 tq (crank), but I'm not sure what the curves look like. The Tundra's advantage may be it's weight, especially since a 2wd regular cab weighs around 3800 pounds. The tranny may need to be modded to shift harder. Some tuners are comparing the Tundra's 4.7 liter 32 valver to the Supra motor, meaning that they believe it has a lot of potential (one tuner has wrung 900 crank hp so far). I guess it's a wait and see game now...

That Tundra v8 is a very nice engine. It'd be nice if the offer the Tundra in a regular cab, short bed configuration with that engine, then someone could mod it up as competion for us.

Cool, that little motor is pretty sweet. I remember Chris, from Works-Power, back when he was the Technical Director of Magnuson, mentioning that he was working on this kit. Now that Chris has spun off from Magnuson, he's doing his own thing. Kinda cool that the guy who is making blower kits for our Lightning trucks has the technical background to provide "Toyota quality". I haven't seen the TRD kit yet, but I've seen the Lightning upgrade, and plenty of Chris's other work to know that it'll be a winner!! What's next? I think a blower upgrade for the 03 Cobra would be sweet. You know guys are gonna be strecthing the limits of the stock blower soon....woo hoo!!

Yep, Chris is a great guy, and I'm glad he chose PSP as the first authorized distributor for his products. I've know Chris for years, from dealing with him at Magnuson for any technical help I needed concerning the Lightning blowers, and he always was working on other cool projects .

Talking Is it just me?

TRD (for Toyota Racing Division)? It looks too much like TuRD.
