I like the Mobil1 M210 filter. It is costly but I like the quality. I have replaced a few Motorcrap 820S's(cheap shot) on customer trucks due to seem leaks etc.. There used to be a real good link to a filter study on which ones prevented backflow, had metal, rubber, or cardboard gaskets and media types inside...

Last I heard, SVT is now recommending that we top off the line with 6 quarts, so who knows..........

I just did my second oil change done yesterday at 3500 miles, and I went ahead and used 6 quarts of Mobil Drive Clean Blend along with a Mobil 1 filter. I would say as long as you are using a Mobil 1, K&N, or Motorcraft filter, you are doing just fine. Just don't use a Fram, or cheap Wix, but then again you guys probably already know that from owning such fine trucks!

No matter which oil you use stay with the Motorcraft 820s or risk the "can of marles" sound at cold startup.[been there done that!]
The "S" stands for the silicone anti-siphon valve built into the filter.I'm not a know it all by any means.I called SVT!
hope this helps!

I have 22.5K miles on my 99 now. I have been using 5W-30 oil and the 820S filter. I am thinking about going to Mobil 1 5W-30 synthetic on the next oil change. As far as I know, the truck has had regular oil in it and has never had synthetic. Has anyone had problems after changing to synthietic?? I have heard of people having oil leaks and burning problems after making the change.
