well...i read that on a few other posts...but this sure does sound like it's under the truck....well...the rattle sure does sound like it's coming from under the cab...but sound does suprise sometimes....
now the newest...it does still pop when your accelerating...at about 30 to 40....just sounds like a little hammer pops the bottom of the bed right behind the cab....
thanks for the help...the seal on the window is loose on the top it seems but i don't know how much play is supposed to be in the that rubber strip...

Ive had the same problem, and check out my strip the other day, and its loose..I can take it out, adn put it back in. It makes a horrible noise, and either low speed, or on the highway. If you feel the top of your roof, you feel this knocking noise. Hopefully thats the sound that im hearing to, but im not sure as well.
well...i hope its something as simple as that strip too....sort of got the blowoff from the dealership i bought it from...2 weeks ago mind u it only has 1000 miles on it...tried to make an appointment this morn to get it in...can't get it in for 2 days...and they won't give a loaner till then...told the guy it's my only means of trans...and asked if i should drive it...he simply said "up to u if you want to take that chance" load of crap...
called another place with SVT department....right in..no probs
good show from the place i just spent 32 g's with such a "good reputation for service" (utter ford)

Let me know what it was..I think we both have the same problem...although mine may have gone away after messing with the strip. But I hear a clunk sound to, but my windows are down and the stereo is up..so it disappears
Let me know though. With 3,000 mi on the clock, its kinda annoying for a new 32k truck.

well, the verdict...it was a combination of things...the weather strip was doing alot of the noise makin, it wasn't quite loose enough to tell yet though...it gave way pretty good when i was on the way to the ford house and started rattling/banging somethin awful...then to top that off i had opened the sliding glass window the first time a few days before and the sealer strip on the drivers side pulled partly loose when i closed it....just moved enough to squeek and rattle around
also...just above the muffler there was a place where two heat shields are riveted together...this was loosened/bent when i had my Mac exhaust worked on by the muffler shop so it was contributing as well.
anyway, hope this helps, from the sounds of it there should be a recall for the weather strip over the windsheild...sounds like a common prob
thanks for everyones input that input
