And besides what does smoking your tires have to do with slamming second gear??

Joe , No lightning yet I was test driving a red 2000 at a dealership. I love the feeling of slamming second gear and going
sideways in my mustang, I was just curious how easy a L could do it with an auto trans. Thanks,Mike

2002 Lightning, bone stock. Rears will not spin on takeoff with a normal road surface beneath me. Just a little chatter for a 1/2 sec or so, and the F1's hook right up. FYI, my truck is not sick, as GTech 1/4 times = 14.09 @ 103.5.

I have found that... to give a little scare to the car next to you at a light... just push the brake ever so slightly before romping on the gas... will burn 'em smoothly through first and chirp in 2nd. I love to see the looks on the peoples face when they drive past!!!

My Lightning is the same way. On a good normal road surface, just flooring the gas will make the Lightning chirp for half a second before it hooks up and runs. I have yet to do a real burnout yet, but I might do one soon when my friend comes home so we can get it on tape.
