99 Lighting on the lot

Getting an oil change today at a non-SVT dealer. They had a red 99 Lighting on the lot for $31,000 and some change.
Wow. Do people really pay this for a 3 year old truck?

Are you sure it wasn't 21K?

Seeing that it's possible to purchase a 2002 L for 31K (if you get a good deal), I would go out on a limb and say the 99 is way overpriced. I think they are looking for an impulse & unsavvy buyer.

I bet it was $31K - there are a number of dealers out here that I have seen try to sell 99/00 L's for over $30K, in hopes that someone would be gullible enough to take them up on the offer

The dealer is probably part of a chain that includes the dumb a$$ dealer here in Memphis that tried to sell my daughter a 2002 XL with a 6 banger and 5 speed, no power nothing for 23K. Told the dealer to go suck dirt as I only paid 26K for my Lariat fully loaded.
