Sweet, I've got one and I've done a few of the things you have. Let me ask you this: what battery are you running and how long does it last with the 9T motor?

Pics?

I've been looking for a Lightning body and have yet to find anyone that has them. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find one? I believe Tamiya is the only brand that makes them, but I would love to be proven wrong. Thanks in advance guys.

Lightning bodies are going to be hard find now. Tamiya stop making them earlier this year

Battery last about 2-3 minutes. Motor draws so much current I had to add the front 4AA battery holder to keep the car from losing radio signal and running off into a wall. This was built mainly for speed and show, it should travel around 60-70mph. Just to let you know the kit comes with a stock can motor rated at around 20 Turns, Modified racing uses 14, so 9 is really low and fast. Tamiya is the only company making the kit. I had to buy a secound entire kit to get my 2nd body, but Parma makes a real nice f-100 body (my next color change ghost flame job!)

Battery I think are rated at 1200, but will check and post exactly tonight w/photo's.

HPI makes an f-150 flareside body with ground effects that looks just like the lightning. I've been thinking getting one for my HPI Nitro RS4.
