Unhappy motor idles at 1500 WTF

Just installed chip, 4lbs pulley, long tubes and full exhaust. Oh yeah there is not a filter on there right now. Any guesses on what the problem could be?

No filter? Is your MAF connection good? Temp sensor? If anything behind the MAF is not connected it won't like that very much.

Lightning motor in a mustang? Small detail left out. How about a couple of photos. Try pulling the chip and see if the idle returns to normal.

Check the TPS voltage, and the position of the throttle body stop screw.

Angry

Does anybody know what the voltage is supposed to be? it should be fine it is a stock throttle body. There are not any vaccum leaks I checked for them today with propane. is it possiable the problem could be in the chip. It is a one off program. Im going nuckin futs trying to figure this one out. Did that link work? The pics are old and the car is not in the best condition right know( needs a paint job). Any suggestions are welcome thanks in advance.

tps voltage

The TPS voltage must be under 1.00 volt. Set it at .95 to .99 and it should be fine. Anything over 1.00 volts and the computer thinks that you are off idle and I believe, starts adding timing and fuel. Skip

Remove the . from your link and it will work fine....

The voltage should be under 1volt..edit: opps didn't see Skip's post... what he said all the way!

Simple question but do you have the idle set screw (some people call it a throttle stop screw) backed out all the way? If so then the IAB valve (some people refer to it as the idle air control valve) is bumping up the idle, which could mean stuck/ dirty IAB valve or the computer is telling it to rev up... unplug the IAB and see what it does.

You will have to post pictures of this beast when you can... we don't care about the paint. I know we all would LOVE to see more pictures of it!!!

How is this?
http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics...select1716.htm

I checked the idle screw that is fine and the IAC is brand new. The motor is a 2001 crate motor so unless ford screwed up I dont know what is wrong.
