Install Help for JDM products....

I posted this on JDM's SVT performance, I just wanted some others advise.....

Jim or Justin
I met a guy here through a friend with a 02 Red Lightning. I think he has ordered a Stage 1 & 2 kit from you. I know he has the T/B Chip/Filter/Line Valve/Some Pulley/Electric fan kit/Deep pan/Exhaust I think?/ and plugs. I think that is all? I have not been over to his house yet but he wants me to help him with the install of his parts. I have a few questions if you can help?

T/B-Do you have to set the TPS Voltage? or does it come preset?

Electric Fan Kit- Is the factory fan reverse threads? You just take a 1 1/4 or 1 1/8th wrench to get it off right? Does the kit have a wiring harness that plugs right in?

Pulley- I have always used the uncaged ones- does the new pulley have its own cage or do you have to swap the pulleys on the cage? If so any tips?

Plugs- What do you reccomend for gap?

Like I said these are parts I have not had on my truck and I would like to help him the best way I can. I have not personally met the guy yet, only had my friend play the middle man. I know its a 02 Red somewhere in the Richmond, VA area that should have just placed and goten this order in the last few weeks.

Thanks for the help!

my babolt t/b didn't need any voltage change

the fan doesn't have reverse threads, stick a screw driver on the snout and under one of the water pump pulley nuts and turn. the fan comes complete plug and play just make some holes to put in the hardware, screw it down, install the temp sensor, plug in the power on wires into the underhood fuse box and you're ready to go.

the new pulleys have a cage built in just get the stock pulley off and put the new one on, bust off the stopper on the tensioner to get the stock belt to fit right. old pulley you need a bearing puller and a press

plugs .40 i think, but i use desnos

I second what Prob. said except for if you get the accufab throttle body. I think I would recommend checking the TPS voltage just to be safe.

for the fan just gat a big vice grip, and clamp it tight to the water pump shaft. Then take a big adjustable wrench and push towards the pass side of the truck. The fan will come right off, real eazy.

Here is a tip for taking the shroud off.

Unscrew the top transmision line on the drivers side, and block it off so it won't leak. Now the shroud will come right out.

JDM pullies have a cage, remove the factory pulley and cage, and the new one goes on real easy, JDM supplies the tool to do the Job.

The rest of the mods go on the same as any of the tuners parts.

stick the pins into the rubber where they go into the plug.. not thru the wire.

hope this helps.
