Flip chip - summer / snow programs?
Since I have to use my truck as my daily driver, has anybody had a "summer" and "winter" program burned into their multi-program chip?
I'd like a bit more performance out of my L (yeah, I know, here we go, down that slippery slope...). I was envisioning something like a JDM stage 2 kit, but I think those same mods would make the L much more hazardous in winter, even on winter tires.
I was envisioning a "snow" side program sort of like a valet mode, with reduced rev limiter, softer shifts, and quicker boost dump. Basically to reduce the power to chevy mode.
I have to repeat, I MUST drive the L in the snow, so beaters are out.
What'ya think? Dumb idea? Has anybody done something like this? Comments?
