Hey everyone just wanted to say hello, and thanks. I've been browsing this board for a few months gathering info while looking for a lightning and finally bought one last weekend
Hopefully i'll be able to meet up with some local L owners sometime to compare truck, mods and all that good stuff. Oh and keep an eye out for a red blur on I-10 heading towards L.A. this afternoon

I'm sick with envy, but congrats anyway. I was thinking about getting an L a few months ago, and I test-drove a black 00 just for S&G. The dealership wanted 31,9K for it, and were pretty firm on that price. I said, "news ones go for less than that." They said, "so what."
Still, it was incredible, and much faster than my 5.0. But alas family priorities came first, and we got a new Expedition instead. At the dealership was a new Cobra and a few Lightnings, all with at least $3K "Market Value Adjustment." So my Cobra wishes and Lightning dreams are on hold for now, but my wife promised that the next new vehicle is mine! BWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH (diabolical laughter)!

Snail50 - sounds like the prices on L's out here...they're outrageous! I actually flew to St. Louis to purchase mine and I bought it through a private party (original owner) KINGPIN

How are the local dealerships about doing warranty work on modified L's?
I really want to upgrade to a 90mm mass air, probably an airraid intake, chip (not sure which one), and the factory tech shift kit, but i've got a year and a half left on the warranty and really don't want to void it.
Are there any local tuners in the valley?
