RE:166

Calightnin,

These blowers are not being made by EATON. Try and touch base with JDM to get details!

Well said mike,
BUT!!!!!!!!!! You are not the one who should be telling us this,JDM should.

This doesnt change the fact that the lies were still told NUMEROUS times about a few more weeks, few more weeks.

And some on this board that I know personally and like very much,I have to respectably disagree..........

There are always gona be people who stand up for JDM even though they dont look at the big picture......

Once again,we are told 6 more weeks,6 more weeks.Ill believe it when I see it...

For those who are interested, as F-150 Online's JDM Engineering parts distributor we had a candid discussion with Jim D'Amore about the actual status & details of the infamous 166 bolt-on supercharger. Current timeframes, details, etc. In other words, a public update for the record, not for a flame war or debate, etc.
I believe you covered the 'delays' in the 'details'

But what about shipping dates, what needs to be doen to intake to make it work, current power levels achieved...

You really didn't provide any detail but rather a bunch of excuses to why its not out yet.

Soo until i see on on a truck its still 'not available' or vaible option part. Plus the price on it will be similar to the kennebell i'd guess...soo why wait when you cna have the KB pretty much today???

fair weather customers

gator, i would have to define fair weather customer as- a customer who raves about their tuner and products untill they have a problem, then they come on here and trash the guy. The next week they order something else and talk about how great they are. There are plenty of people like that here.

I've only been on this board since august, but did Jim ever officially come out in public and announce to everyone that he had these blower so everyone place their orders and they'll be in soon.... I never saw anything on his page about them and all the talk i've heard is from the lightning rumor mill. Just wondering.

Great.....another pissin' and moanin' thread on this board....what a suprise.

Those who have been out of cash because of this probably have a legit issue that should be taken up directly with JDM. The rest of you sound like you need to get laid and mind your own business.

Service & products from the tuners is "custom" and low volume. We're not talking McDonalds Drive-Thru here. Give them all a break, I'm sure they've thought twice about doing business with the Lightning community because of some the PITAS' out there.

Gee I can't wait for "Blower Wars," a sequel to Tuner Wars and Chip Wars.

Who cares if you arent waiting for a part from a tuner the you are waiting for gauges from autometer. Sometime i think you guys are on the rag and have a hole instead of a pole between your legs. Grow up thats life most of the time you have to wait for stuff like they say good things come to those who wait. Hey i know waiting $ucks but once you get what you were waiting for its all worth and you know it. So enough with the whining and Bitching posts start acting like men.

It seems funny how the people that have been out of some money for awhile say the least.

I'm just tickled to death that there will be some options.....I think the tuners could have some fun with their advertising and play off the bashing stuff. How about these slogans

JL: "Let Me Screw You" (the Kenne Bell is a screw-type isn't it?)
JDM: "JDM Blows Big Time"
PSP: "Until I can Whip(ple) You, I'm going pass you some gas (NOS)

Let's get back to laughing and sharing technical info and support the vendors who are all trying to give us what we want.

How many people who are BITCHIN', PISSIN' and MOANIN' are ACTUALLY gonna buy an M166 from JDM, rebuild the lower end to accomodate the blower, if and when they come out ?

If you are not, please ****! Man this gets old.

The problem doesn't come from waiting. The problem comes with vendor excuses, promises that are not kept. Vendors should be made accountable, this board helps with the accountability. There I said it, now I'm in trouble.

I would like to buy one. I have the money and built engine. The 166 should outperform the smaller blowers others are offering.

Jesus Christ people ......

Mike Troyer who is well respected in the Lightning community posts about the new M166 blower JDM will have out along with an effort to do basic "due dilligence," making sure these superchargers are indeed good quality units and now it's turned into a bashing contest. I don't understand

If you don't beleive it just shut-up, simple. Me, I'll get one along with Jim rebuilding my engine.

Another thing all of you must remember..... JDM is not a supporting vendor on this Web site. If Jim or one of his employees made a post like Mike Troyer(Mike is a supporting vendor selling JDM products also) did it would be deleted and a good chance banned from the Web site.

Trying to post positive information on this board is almost impossible.

One other thought..... if any of you think you can do better then start your own tuning, repairing and R & D Lightning business, but if you do stay off the Internet so people with their fake screen names don't bash and trash you. Gawd I hate the Internet, but it's how I make my living.

Doug slap me in Norwalk

Time will tell what happens with the 166. I think there are a few people who expect Wally World type service on specially designed equipment. Guys/Gals guess what? It ain't going to happen.
