I kinda wish Greg would get back to me and give me some insight... I have tried resetting the PCM also.

1-2 is stock like... but the 2-3 slams just like the JDM line mod did...

Regardless, thanks to all for the input...
Beef,

One other thing I had happen to me on one. Did you torque the bolts right? I had a few fall out on one and cause it to shift soft. If you pull your pan and see some bolts in the bottom, you will know thats it, just retorque them to around 80-100 IN lbs...

Had the Factory Tech valve body for over 20K miles now. Quicker shifts, but not bad at partial throttle. WOT hang on when it goes into second and third. Since I got rid of the F-1s and went with the taller Nitto 305/55/18s, the only time I get the chirp is when the pavement is cold.

At the track, if I do not do a good burn out it will spin the tires and start walking the truck sideways when it shifts to second. A good burnout and the 1-2 shift.... she squats and keeps going

Well, my e-mail died on me for no apparent reason on Thursday and I've just now got it figured out (I hope).

As to why it doesn't shift hgood on the 1-2, I dunno, if the fluid is fine, it should work, there's not a lot that cna go wrong with them. IF you're not happy with it, shoot me an address and I'll send you another one, no problem. If it still isn't fixed, I get ou a refund. If you're not happy neither am I.

Factory Tech.

Holy SH**... you are bold...

I'm impressed... Never heard anyone stand behind their product like that. It really does not shift firmly from 1 to 2. again, 2 to 3 is nice and firm... I checked the fluid level again last night... they are right on... I will pull it this weekend and get in touch with you.

Greg, yhank you for your willingness to help me out!

ICULOKN,

I did torque em properly to 80 in/lbs... When I pull the pan this weekend, I'll look for the bolts, but because I personally went through each bolt with the torque wrench 2 times after I tightened em that seems unlikely... I'll check it out... Regardless, thanks for the info! I hate posting questions/problems and getting NO responses...

You guys rock!

Wow - this is why I will definitely be getting the FTVB instead of just the line mod! I applaud how you stand behind your product Gregg.

Thanks,

Hey, it's cheaper to make a guy happy, whatever it costs, than to have someone disappointed for free. I like the kit, a lot of people seem to like it, but if you don't then I'm not happy with YOURS, so I'll make it right, one way or another.

Of course, my typing skills s**k, I think I spelled a few words right in that post.

Hey factory tech-I like your policy about keeping the customer happy. That says a lot about you as a person. I try and run my business the same way too. You work for Ford Motor Co, don't you? What's it like working for a company that has a philosophy exactly opposite from yours? Maybe they should learn from you!

Actually, in defense of my day job, I think Ford does as well you can expect, and a lot of people try real hard, but when you have any organization this big you're gonna have things that just don't have easy answers, and sometimes someone just screws up. We're trying, and as far as quality goes, it's getting much better. Since Jac left it seems like the big guys have figured out that we're a car company again, and that means you have to build good cars. It seemed for a while like they lost sight of that. All that stuff about being an "E-Company" was lost on me, we build cars, and as far as I know you can't download one, so why were we trying ot turn into Microsoft?
Never understood that thing, myself...

Greg,

I just don't understand you. You're just one little guy AND you've got another job. How can you stand behind your product like this????

Delivering on promises and keeping your word just isn't possible for the little guy.

Seriously, GREAT JOB!

In all modesty, it's a great frogging product. I've built about 700 of the things and less than 10 have had to be replaced, and of those I really only think about 3 had something wrong with them, ussually a sticky valve. It works, and works real well, so it's easy to stand behind it.
