? On FogLamp Mod

Is it necessary to do the wiring splice in order to get the foglamps on in the parking light position? Or do you just need to file a ramp in the collar?

File it under "G" for garbage. Then you can get rid of it in the proper place! Always remember the 3 "R's" reduce recycle and reuse!

on mine, all i did was shave down the collar and the fogs went on with the only the corners on so to answer your question - no, you do not have to splice the wires

Hmmm....weird...mine was exactly opposite....came on with the regular lights once I cut it out but they wouldn't come opn with the parking lights until I did the splice

From what I understand, filing the collar will allow the switch to pull out. I am interested in having the foglamps available with just the parking lights on. Seems you wouldn't have to splice but I suppose to complete a circuit in that position (which the switch wasn't wired for) it might be neccessary.

Mark,
all i did was the splice and my fog lights work with my parking lights. The only thing is that they are always on, with both the parking lights and the headlights.I didn't do anything to the switch itself... I use them all the time anyways though....JR
