today i saw the first lightning i've ever seen on a used car lot..
it's a black 2000.

i looked it over & saw that it had a black "tool box" behind the seat.. my truck is a silver 2000, and it came with a grey box..

i thought the only 01-02's had the black tool box?

 

my '00 has a black box.....I just checked it out for ya.....JR

BTW it's silver doh!!!

 

Think it depended on color. Every red 2000 i've seen was grey. The white ones i've seen were all black.

Grey tool box here. Never saw black in any other lightning i saw. My friend who lives up the street from me had a 99 white had grey toolbox, and he now has a 01 red grey toolbox. Heres a thought dont most pieces come black then they are painted or dyed the grey of the interior. Say like the autometer guage pod those come black right. Maybe these tool box werent painted or dyed grey just a thought.
