Need help, truck developed a new rattle!

After making a 90 mile trip my truck developed a weird rattle in the rear/mid section of the truck. It only happens when I am in gear and when I am braking and almost at a stand still. It also does it when I am in park and rev it a bit. It's a metalic clank/rattle. Anyone have any ideas?

sounds like its exhaust related, but eliminate the obvious first. I had a sound that was driving me crazy only to find it was my flashlight cin my rear compartment behind the seat making slight contact with a jar that I had in there too. Anmother time it was my seat belt buckle vibrating against the plastic door panel(wasn't wearing it) Sometimes an interior check is whats needed before moving on.

I had the exact same problem, i was convinced it was not exhaust related, thought it had something to do with my transmission but i must have been wrong...

I has since gone away on its own. While in idle when it is making its sound, have someone push down on your exhaust tips with their foot or whatever and see if it goes away. It did on mine

Friends don't let friends post drunk.

Loosen up the exhaust clamps from the cats back, give everything a couple of good kicks, and tighten everything back down. I'll bet that will fix it.
