Chips and top speed

Keep in mind that a chipped truck is not meant to run at 140 mph, especially for long periods of time.

Also, my dad's lightning is a 2000 and the truck is not electronically governed at 142. He had his truck pinned at 140 at just under 5k rpm's while he started to come down a slight decline. He kept going and the truck shut down at abou 5500 rpm's. So there must be a rev limiter. He said he had to have reached 150 at least. He has an 01 engine but still has the 3:53's which is stock.

Thanks, tallimeca ...

I just ama newbie and I listened to what everyone
was saying and assumed that when I asked for a
"street/Track" program and jim said the side two was
about 15 more HP, we were talking situational programming NOT
weather related ...

my jdm chip

is street on side 1, strip on side 2. Nothing was ever said about whether. Side 1 programmed for 10 percent relative humidity, barometric pressure at 8.6, overcast skies with winds from the northwest at 10 mph????

LOL -- I wish we could be that specific .... I hear rumors of
realtime A/F monitoring and setting in the near future ....
