The other item of note is to make sure that the stiching on the towel is cotton, not polyester.

Use a lighter to test the stiching, burn a thread if you get wisps of black smoke, poly.

The can ( not spec will, just can ) scratch the clear coat.

I have had good luck with diapers, but some have poly threads.

I have also had peopel tell me that flour sack towels are good, but I have never tried them.
The cooking catalogs have the flour sack towels spec'd as galss towels, so they might work real well on windows, have yet to try this.

Just yet another 2 cents that I have.

I just cut the ends of my towels off......then you know for sure

All you guys are way off base

Just do what I do........Go to the nearest Holiday Inn around noontime, when housekeeping is at lunch. They have a cart full of clean towels in the hallways for you. When they get dirty, just take them back for an exchange

Using the lst 2 suggestions...

Don't you think the holiday Inn might get a little supspect when you return the towels with the ends cut off, and the towels full of wax ? <g>
