its not really a grinding sound.. it's more of a whistling sound..
maybe the camera didn't do a good job of transfering the sound?
if it was a lot louder, it would sound like a vortech blower.
thats the sound it makes.

That sounds to me like a loose belt, more than cavitation. It is really hard to tell from the video, but if you had some belt dressing(yes, I hate that sticky stuff too, but it will at least help you diagnose this problem), spray a little bit on the inside of the belt when it is running. If your noise immediately goes away for even a second, its belt noise.
Just to ease your mind that is an easy way to rule out the belt making the noise. When I put my 2# upper pulley on, it did the same sort of thing until I got another belt.

Sounds like it might be an idler pully bearing.
Try removing the blower belt & crank it up (don't rev it). This will tell you which belt is producing the noise. Then, using a stethascope (sp?) or long rod (several socket wrench extensions will do), listen to everything that rotates on the belt making the noise. Note: place your listening device on non-moving parts!
I had a Mustang 4.6 with Ford's S/C that had an idler pully noise simular to your noise.

Mine sounded like that with the upper and lower pullies. In park it didn't make the noise as loud, but in drive when the rpm's came down a little the noise was pretty loud. I've been living with it for about 8-9 months now.
