Cool

Thanks guys.

The grille came from customautoparts.com. It is a Carriage Works grille.

Chuck, I think the truck looks great with the new hood and grilles, BUT, IMO it's a bit much black in front with nothing to break it up. Sort of like a big void. Did you try putting the oval back on and see if you like it? OOH, or better yet, have a custom Ford Oval made that's got a black background. That would be HOT.

These are just my opinions of course, and nobody has to listen to them.

I still like it.

Cool

Sal,

The black Ford oval is not a bad thought. I might try to track one down to see if it will fit.

Cool

It's a 2 year old Reflexxions hood. I traded an older man my stock hood for it. His stepson had put it on the truck but when he quit making payments the old man took the truck back. The old guy just wanted a regular hood.

The hood had a couple of body work issues and chipped paint. It cost me $375 to get it fixed and painted. That's about what a new one would cost and I'd still have to have it painted.

The new hoods have a valley running down the center like the Boss 5.4 hood which I could do without.

I just installed a black ford oval on my tailgate not to long ago. It looks really great and was an easy install. I thought about getting two and putting one on my billet grille. I also have a carriage works, except polished. Anyway, it looked like too much of a hassle to find a way to bolt on the new oval to the billet grille. Great looking truck!!!! Do a search on ebay for "ford lightning" and you should come up with one sooner or later. That is where I got mine from. The site below also have them:

I like it, now you just need to get a set of the black rims. I saw that someone posted a while ago that they had their factory lightning rims powdercoated black and just left the very outer lip shiny and it looked sweet.
Just my opinion....

Just had my Carriage Works polished upper and lower installed today. Made the front end look 100% better!
