ILLNESS Summer Lightning meet...June 16th, Byron IL...Come One, Come All
well doesn't look like gregs going to have time this weekend for the tranny rebuilding. I might have to go next weekend if possible.
And I was going to try and go to this event, if I could get home in time to install the tranny on saturday anyway. Talk about getting ready at the last minute huh!
Have fun guys, and be careful!

In additon to three massive trophies,Ron Leek the track owner donated a "Killer Kowalske" burger to the Lightning with the worst reaction time at this event. It had two slices of meat, three slices of cheese, and two slices of raw onions. Thankfully, I didn't win that one. But the guy who did deserved it, he had a 1.39 reaction time. Ron really tries to make it fun at Byron.

Congratulations to all that came and Thanks to Ron Leek, Byron Track and Lightning Owner.
You Guys that have to run at Milan will understand these benefits. NLOC has two Lanes resevered for Lightnings. Never a long Wait in the Staging Lanes, no guessing when you are going to Run, and Ron was spending all his Spare time in the Lightning Pits. Check out Rob Gs Photos in the ILLNESS section of the NLOC Boards.
It is an awesome experience when you know the track appreciates that you are there, and with an Enviable Collection of Lightnings and Their First Class Owners.

What Jim said.
The only dissapointment of the day, besides the horde of silver trucks
(yeah, you read correctly), was the complete abscence of Gen 1 trucks. What's up with that ????
Silver people, I kid because I care
