Hotchkis Rear Leaf Spring Question

My Hotchkis leafs for my L came by UPS today. Their web site says:

".... QUALITY, EVEN WHEN LOADED. THEY FEATURE OUR SPECIAL OVERLOAD LEAF , SO YOUR TRUCK CAN TOW IN STYLE. CONSTRUCTED FORM HIGH...."

Anyhow, I don't have the overload leaf like the picture

Do you guys with the Hotchkis rear springs have the overload leafs?

I've got 2. They must have changed the design.

I suppose the overload leaf doesn't affect the spring rate unless the arch is ready to go flat. Depending on the drop, the end result would probably be less bottoming out with it. But on the other hand, the axle rides on the peak of the arch so the overload spring adds 1 leaf's worth of thickess to the ride height.

Thanks for the input. All I need now are new shocks and then look out!
