Question My L stinks

When I get on it fairly hard and then shut down, I often notice a weird exhaust smell, maybe a bit like sulfur or gunpowder...difficult to describe, but definitely my exhaust.

I thought it was other vehicles, but it's definitely mine. I'm not getting on it till it's good and warmed up, by the way.

2001 L, < 20K miles, stock. Just noticed it a few weeks ago.

Ideas?

midwest?

If you live in the midwest ,it could be the 10% alcohol in the gas you are smelling , i smell the alcohol in my garage when i start her up, i used to think it was a glycol leak somewhere ?

I had a funny smell. I haven't driven my truck in a while though. I will let you know once I get it back. -Mat-

Big Vito over on svtperformance.com had a similar problem. Turned out it was some cheap cigars .

Mine does the same thing, as did my '97 Cobra. I think it is normal. I kinda like it... smells like POWER to me!
