Some Pics from New England Dragway
Those are some great pictures, and dispite the track being so bad it was a great time. This was the first time that I have been able to race anything this year and I got to run three different vehicles, what a night.
I drove my slow a$$ Tahoe to a 16.6 at 81 mph. The track officials told me I needed to back her down if I was going to run it again since I didn't have a full cage and Parachute. lol
Then Don felt bad for me and let me take his Lightning for a blast, Even with his slicks I could not get it to hook up. It has been raining up here all week and stoped a few hours before the track opened up and it hasn't been treated since last weekend. Anyway I ran a 13.2 at 109 with his truck, I had to lift 3 to 4 times to get it to stop spinning. The run felt a lot stronger than a 13.2 but when you blow the take off I guess that is what you get.
And then to make my night complete Mohammed let me take his 99 Viper RT/10 down the track and it was a blast to be in a standard sports car again. I came out of the hole pretty bad and had to lift 2 times or so to get it to stop spinning, and it even got a little slippery when I shifted into 2nd and 3rd. I ran it to a 13.0 at 112 and with a little practice it is a low to mid 12 second car easy.
Thanks to all the guys that made me have a great time at the track last night, you guys are awesome.
