22 days and counting for a reburn---

(Before you ask: I have sent an email, left a voicemail, and spoke to the tuner so I have done my part and still waiting.) I must have asked for too much. Here is my list for the Top Ten items I wanted burned on my chip.
#10. auto lock tailgate,
#9. auto express passenger window,
#8. traction control,
#7. wastegate "whoosh" sound,
#6. "turbo" flames from exhaust,
#5. knock sensor,
#4. boost increase,
#3. less power steering boost,
#2. switch on the fly flip chip

And the #1 request is .....a 30,000 mile warrantee.

Did I miss anything?

LOL, I've gotten some of those requests...

Seriously, if it's us you are waiting for a reburn from, l do apologize. We had the hard drive crash on our chip computer and lost all files. The knowledge is in my head of course, but it's been a time consuming process to rebuild all the files per reburn. Luckily, we were able to get the data recovered from the drive and we just got it back. Super thanks to Madness from HALO for that!!

If it's not us, well, then I can't really help ya

yeah, backups are key... you can get these new "USB Key Disk Drives"...its $45 for a 64mb one (which I'm sure is enough to store the car data programs), just stick it in a USB port and it pops up as a drive you can copy your stuff to.

Next time you had a computer failure Sal, give me a buzz, I might have been able to recover some of the applications. Computers I can fix...cars are a different story.

LOL on the top ten!

as for computers... Norton Ghost RuLez or something like that
opps did I slip off-topic.. anyway

if your serious about your wait I hate it for ya.. How about email me the place you are waiting on (don't want to start a war in here or anything)

Lastly, I have to say this. Sal, I read lots of message boards. Ford, chevy, import, all kinds..... and from your post you sir are by far the most customer driven tuner/vendor i have seen. By that i mean you really seem to take care of your people and are always nice even when others would have gotten pissed and tried to flame the person for a rude post (not this post).

Am I the only one out there that see's this rare and great quality?

I have reason to beleive all of our tuners are and have been very customer driven,, overall they have to be,,,, the L is a limited production vehicle,, meaning many of the parts they sell wont fit on any other truck,,, so the trick is,,, whats the only way to sell 5,000 chips to 5,000 customers. Its why our parts are more expensive as well. There's not much of a market for a car or truck that sees limited production. If these were mustangs all our stuff would be cheaper and our tuners would be richer while having much more people to sell to.

In the business with our trucks, if a tuner gets bad press or loses their customer trust, it could spell doom.

ps,,, Same thing works for the food business, our best advertisement is word of mouth,

ouch! i feel your pain there.... I go in at 3:30pm and get off at 4am!
it sucks but I HOPE this is the last week of it. Then its back to 3:30 to 12 with a 2am day every 3rd day.... I will have so much time off I wont know what to do (compaired to now)

as for sleep.... I don't really care to take any kind of drug BUT Ambien is a god sent some nights(days)... its first and only thing i have ever found to help me sleep with NO side affects what so ever.. I have only taken it maybe 20 times since January but those 20 nights sleep were GREAT.

anyway I am off to find some food out of a machine (yum)

And you COULD say that the Lightning customers
are among the most demanding, onry customers
on the planet. That's prolly what teh tuners all
say among themselves. "Why did I ever think
the truck guys would be as nice as the Stang guys?"

HEH HEH HEH ...

Jest causing touble....

No, you're not the only one to see this rare quality. I'm sure Sal is really busy but makes time to post here and I, for one, appreciate that.

Initially I agreed with this logic, but after thinking about it some more. . .I don't. The L is a limited production vehicle, true, so that in and of itself should be a HELPING factor for the vendor. If all he does is specialize in a limited quantity vehicle, then he doesn't have 3 million production units to potentially feed. Special vehicles have demanding owners, this much is certain. The vendor should be ready and able to handle the needs of the clients he is targeting. And honestly, Lightning owners are some of the coolest/most patient (as a collective group) of any specialty car group out there. I've seen a Buick GNX owner throw a telephone receiver through Kenne Bell's front window because his waste gate was a week late.

22 days to wait for a chip re-burn is totally outrageous. I don't care WHO'S chip/program it is. I have a friend living in Seattle who got a chip reburnt by (Anonymous Mustang Vendor- that deals with a HUGE customer base) in Florida. From the time it left his house until it was back in his car. . .grand total of 8 days. That's cross country, special request program, back across country, 8 days.

I'd rip the vendor a new A$$ and then cancel the order. They didn't by chance CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD ALREADY. . .did they?

Just my $.02. . .
