I hope your kiding about all those options! HEHEHEHEHEH. If not I didn't know you could do that.

And just out of curiosity, I don't think sal any tuner except diablo offers a knock sensor program, am I right or did somthing happen while i was gone last week!

WrongDayJ-Don't be too hard. You know if the tuner called/emailed you soon enough and told you WHY it was taking so long and how much longer it would be, then you would probably not be so irate. Communication is key in customer satisfaction. Still, like you said-22 days is pushing the envelope. Would need a GOOD reason to keep from cancelling. If it was a race issue, better give me a loaner chip or that would be the last deal.

SVT_FL - I assume that is not the case. You get no response and no ETA. In that case I would be pissed too.

Sal -I don't own a single thing you sell, but in all honesty, from the way I see you have done business with your customers and the way you respond on these forums, I wouldn't hesitate to deal with you.
Not looking for discounts and I don't suffer from some hero worship thing like some do. I just like your replies to most threads I've seen and your honesty. For some, every post is a way to make a sales pitch. I haven't seen that from you.

Dr. D- That is exactly what I mean when I say the Lightning crowd is 'cool'. Most of us are understanding and patient, as am I, to an extent. But if someone is gonna call themselves a business, and pose as a reputable, customer driven company. . .then I don't feel it's out of line to expect them to do business like a reputable, customer driven company. I think what you suggested would be a good practice (loaner parts, etc.), and I would feel better about doing business with shops that offered such things.

But c'mon. I read about people waiting MONTHS for stuff (with their credit cards being charged instantly), no communication, no comps for their troubles and/or downtime, and it makes me a bit worried that if some tuners get away with it that this will become the standard for the Lightning aftermarket. Outfits like PSP pretty much set the standard for what a good Lightning vendor should be, and there are some others as well. But there are just as many POSER shops out there as there are PSP's. Know what I mean?

If my words seem harsh. . .I'm really not angry and red-faced. Just trying to stress the point that allowing this kind of practice to continue to exist ENABLES the kind of problems folks are experiencing.

He certainly cant expect any of those options on a chip.

I'm with you J. I remember all the shrapnel flying when 4# pullies came out. I had to wait for mine but I was told it would take an extra week right up front, so I didn't mind.

Silver 2000- Joking-no way. Although I don't agree with tuning the chip for making the exhaust belch flames. The skirts ARE plastic. Has anyone done the research to see what the melting point is for the plastic ground effects just in case we should want to belch flames?? Does that mean we should also have the fart sound programmed back in the chip to have a fart and belch together?

Sal, sent another unanswered email regarding my chip. I don't mind waiting but at least answer email.

I would just Sal or Lisa a call. They usually answer the phone unless they are out of town at an event.
