oil in throttle body

ive seen these air compressor filter set ups and how they keep the oil out of the throttle body.i also read way back that if you only put 5 and 1/2 guarts of oil in the motor you wouldnt have this problem.so,whats the best way to solve this problem?

Put some form of oil separator in the PCV line (passenger side valve cover - to - S/C intake). An air compressor filter is good. Some form of bottle with a line in and a line out will also work.

Some owners plug the opening(s) in the intake system and put breathers on the valve covers, but I am not going to do it. A) it's not legal in my state, and b) it might change the air/fuel ratio a little.

I read a thread (forgot author, sorry) that the oil comes through the PCV line for two reasons; 1) the PCV valve is not shrouded and oil gets thrown at it by the cam and, 2) backing off from high boost puts an enormous amount of vacuum between the T/B and the S/C which sucks the oil into the intake. I doubt running less oil will change this. A separator or breather seem to be the only fixes.

I'm sure you've seen this by now:

You can check out this link also. This explains how it is done.

Jeff'sLightning did a more compact install than I did. I was using parts that I already had on hand.
