Fuel pressure ?

I just installed my gauges this weekend (boost, fuel and A/F). Just wondering what fuel pressures I should be seeing at Idle and WOT.

tommy,

FYI and in case you are using Autometer gauges, a recall is in progress for the following "short sweep" fuel pressure gauge model numbers.

2659
3309
3509
4309
4409
5709

along with replacement sending unit 2248

The reason is the sending units are failing [read: leaking ]

both the gage and sending unit need to be sent to Autometer and will be replaced at no cost with a full sweep unit.

Be safe.

Bob

Speedin Bob: Thanks for your concern. I purchased the full sweep gauge (Phantom 5763). It cost $173 (can get more if anyone is interested). Was told that this is a good price for this gauge.

I am seeing around 37-38 psi at idle and around 52 at WOT.

Looks like I have a fuel problem. I am only seeing 30psi at idle and 50 - 51 at WOT. I am going to change the fuel filter first then the tank gets dropped and new pumps go in.

I just had my 99L at the dealer recently. Had a bad hesitation in you smashed the gashalfway down. It'd stumble on itself for a second or two and then take off. It ended up being the hose between the two pumps was split. Now the hesitation down low is gone but is still doesnt feel right winding out. No check engine lights but the idle fuel pressure is only 30 psi at best. I dont have a intruck gauge so I cant watch it going down the road under load. Used a small VDO gauge hooked strait to the schrader valve. Wonder if one pump could be bad or maybe its just the filter(20K miles on her). I'm gonna try the filter first also.

Well its not the filter... It was pretty clogged though.
