When to do brake pads on rear?

with drag racing, and not having a line lock, my back brakes are squealing some, also i can tell the calipers have moved in.

i shaved the calipers for the 15" wheels and saturday at the track, i noticed that they were rubbing and generating some serious heat.

you guys think i need pads, or just shave the calipers down a bit more,

what's the usual time frame for pads?

i've got 20k miles and probably 50 to 70 passes at the strip

well

how many burnouts? 70 strip passes is for me is an easy 200 burnouts.

Don't forget how much pressure your putting on them rears all the time. You wear them down tons more then the front. I say pads

My truck ( and most modern autos ) wear the fronts MUCH faster than the rears.. The stock brake bias fron to rear is like 70 - 30 ( Im guessing )

I changed my front pads some time ago and the rears are still going strong at 40k....
PS Be careful the pads dont wear even ...

Pads are pretty cheap, when in doubt, swap them out! Beats new rotors and maybe even calipers if you let it go too far....
