Powercooler users, do they work?

I have one installed but have not tested its benefits at the track yet.
What should I expect in ET drop in the 1/4?

I installed it where the windshield resevoir was and moved the battery back about 4 inches. Looks sweet!!!

Someone did a dyno test on it... Including the timing advance that you can do because of the lower intake temp, they pulled over 70ft-lbs of torque... Pretty impressive.

As far as gains for JUST the powercooler, and NO other modifications, like a reburn, I'm sure it'll make a noticeable difference, but nothing quite so tremendous.

Hope this helps!

Thanks BlkBanshee

I will most likely have to run a dual program chip to take full advantage of the cooler temps.
I have a nice list of current mods and run consistant high 12's
I just wanted some facts from people who have raced or dynod with them.

Firefighter, the powercooler is one of those things for someone who already pretty much has it all.... If you're only looking for consistent high-12's, I would have gone with a pulley first... A 4lb pulley in itself will help with that. I don't know what other mods you have, but you definately won't run consistent high-12's with JUST the powercooler and a chip. If you're already IN the high-12's with a pulley or something, you'll be in the mid-12's with the powercooler and timing advance it would allow... Hope this helps

hood?

Vinnie,
I'm confused. You have a shaker hood scoop that seems to be nonfunctioning. Also a ram air opening over a cone air filter that has no box so as to "ram air". Am I seeing correctly?

Yes it is functional

It is a 2 piece design. The scoop you see works with the hood when closed. The air comes through the top and goes up into the hood.(There is a opening on the hood you can not see)then channels through the hood to the ram-air hole you see.
Right now it is just throwing cold air on the filter(the top of the filter is getting dirtier).I will be boxing it out(like an airaid)So it is all inclosed.
Not a direct flow but once I box it in it will be more effective.
It DOES SHAKE on start up and when you hit the gas and you can hear the air being sucked in.
Hope this helps.
