Bassani cat-back= gold
What does Bassani think there ***** is made of? The prices of their cat-back system has went up $100 ( $730). I personelly know their stuff is not that good especially with other manufactures making kits now. Maybe they have to make money back that they lost on replacing my converters and everyone elses that had problems early on.Well atleast they replaced them, that is once I was able to talk to a hire up!

Ohhhhh but it is THAT good!!
Nothing like the sound coming from true dual exhaust!! And yes, the quality is top notch. Believe me, i installed it and am very impressed. Now, i didn't pay that much but...

Bassani has strict rules about advertised price on their products. The "other" vendors are not adhering to those rules, hence the way cheaper pricing. Bassani HAS just raised all thier prices though. We will also be correcting our pricing to reflect that change. Yep, it sucks, for all of us.

Its bad enough I didnt want to spend $630 bucks for one, now If I want one its $100 more!!! I dont think so.
Especially for the bang-per-buck value.
Leaves me no other choice than to look for an alternative

NO flame intended to anyone in particular, but why don't you guys that want a cat back go to a reputable shop close-by and have one custom made? Keep your stock system to put back on later if you intend to sell. There is a place called Lord's muffler that does all the work for hot rods, etc. that I plan on calling if the time comes. Stainless pipe and mufflers are expensive but not THAT ($730) expensive.

Well, I just talked to Bassani, so here's the scoop, so there is no confusion.
They did raise thier pricing, which has been the same for the past 3 years. As of right now, they are in pricing limbo, which means our dealer costs have gone up, but we are not enforced to abide by any advertised price rules. Within the month, Bassani WILL be sending letters to all dealers, stating that all dealers must advertise Bassani products for jobber price. Jobber price for the Gen 2 cat back is $825. So within a month, all Bassani dealers should be selling the cat back for that price. Any businesses that sell for less than that price will have thier dealer status revoked. And any businesses that are selling Bassani products to other businesses that sell for less than jobber, will also be penalized.
These are the words from Bassani themselves. Be forewarned. LOL (sorry, sounded dramatic)

I just want to throw out my opinion: There are better places to our money to be spent . Figure it out a custom job might cost you 500.00, Borla 420.00 from Jegs, MAC 290.00 direct, JDM's silver bullet 525.00 and these are just some of the options, 750.00 for a cat back is a lot of money when you consider theres not that many bends and the pipe length is short. I think they make a solid product but the price point is just to high for the gains returned. my .02 Todd

If I was a tuner/dealer I would be looking for someone else's exhaust products to sell or I would be having my own made.
It was hard enough for people when they were $630. $825 is just freakin RIDICULOUS!!!!!
