Where is the Rice?

haha, I have a pair of garret t3-60 turbos that feed a 600hp mustang until I switched to a kenne bell blowzilla. Now I want to sell them, this turbo is perfect for the rice, and if they could get the bottom end to live, one of these could pump enough air for 325 hp. So where are the rice boards, I put them on ebay, but want to get to the rice direct

Chris

WrongdJ,
I typically do not post on this website even though I've been around for 4 years but I find your poster portrayed as extremely inflammatory and politically incorrect to those of us who have or are special people in our families. Rice or no rice comment...that picture is wrong. I for one don't appreciate it.

Terry that picture has been all around the net for quite some time. If you don't like it don't read the thread.

wanalightning, how in the hell did he know the picture was there until after he opened the thread and saw it?

People like to say "if you don't like it, don't read/watch it" when they can think of nothing better to say.

I agree, not a nice picture...there are other ways to get a point across other than making fun of people. Look at it this way, you get into an accident and you could be just like the person portrayed in that picture. Take it for what it's worth.

True, I don't agree with the picture either...........a friend of mine works for a company called SBI, it stands for Serious Brain Injury if i recall. The help people who have suffered a SBI learn how to walk or talk and to lead normal lives again. What you said 99svtlightning is very true!

The picture gave me a guilty laugh. I understand about it coming close to home, though. A 40 year old friend of mine who was a pretty sharp corporate accountant was involved in a three-car accident last year. He and his wife were on life support for a month, then comas for a month, then began rehab. Now, nine months later, his wife is still crippled in a wheelchair and he can barely walk. He doesn't remember much of his previous life. His family is taking care of their two young children. Mentally he's now on the level of an 8 year old, and his wife is worse. Tragic.

Still, you've got to laugh sometimes. If you can't laugh at life, it laughs at you.

Folks,
I'm not wanting to open a can of worms, especially when this forum is for people wanting to improve the performance of their vehicles. I simply don't like comment in the poster. I'm quite sure that WrongdJ as all of you aren't people who set out to intentionally hurt anyone. The poster itself without words, is a precious moment in the little boys life.

As far as the original post goes, I'd love to have those garrett turbos for my mustang. Thanks for listening.

I have to agree with you. That picture is WRONG! I will admit that I laughed at first, but that little boy is no laughing matter. But for the grace of GOD, or fate, or whatever you believe in, any one of us could have been born with that conditon.

I want you guys who think that this picture is ok, to just sit back for a moment and think. Realize that this picture is a real person, with a real feelings, and a real family. What if that was your son or your brother? How would you feel to come across this picture, and see the way that it is being used?

Info On Turbos

In case anyone is interested for another gt projects, Here is the info on the turbos, and what I learned while working this project.

I have 2 Garret T3-60 Superchargers that have around 3 miles on them. They were placed on a '92 mustang gt drag car that made 11 passes. Unfortunatly I had to have around 14 feet of tubing to plumb both turbos, and they didn't spool on the mustang until 3200 rpm. I replaced them with a kenne bell blowzilla, my loss is your gain. These turbos were rebuilt before the 11 passes by turbonetics and are stamped Garret with a/r .60 M 10 stamped on the compressor housing, a/r .63 on turbine housing. Very little play in turbine shaft (no more than a new turbo). Each turbo is capable of 1 Bar (14.7 psi) of pressure, on a 302 they had no problem pumping 21 psi, and making over 600hp. Each turbo was set at about 10.5 psi, and this was through 14 feet of tubing!! On an import one of these turbo could easily feed 325 HP. They also the integrated adjustable swing valve assembly, actuator, and discharge flange (yep, you can use dial-a-boost on them Both turbos were blueprinted, and contain 360 degree thurst bearings. Both turbos accept water cooling and both turbos are already fitted with AN style fittings on the oil and water passages. In addition, you get both of the turn-down pipes. These turbos new cost $800 each, without the turndown pipes, integrated adjustable swing vavle, actuator, discharge flange, AN Fittings, ect. First bid of $800 takes them both

This guy at work frequents www.clubsi.com. I think they are a bunch of 15 yr. olds though.

In regards to the picture, its been posted here before no one said anything about it. I particularly dont care for it but you come across so much being on the internet, it has a tendency to desensitize you. And if I freaked out over every little thing that I didnt think was morally or politically correct on the net, I would pretty much have to stay off the internet.
