The whole thing

P.S. Sal I did mention that I was sending the whole truck didn't I? I figure that I won't have much time to work on it since I am going to have to get back into the gym, bulk up a little ,get taller and add a bunch of hair over the next few weeks. I love this guy. A few quotes to describe him are in order. "An expert is a man who knows more and more about less and less" and "He that knows little, often repeats it" Talk with you next week, Chet

Man, I wish you could send the whole truck, I think you'd be pleased with how you got it back .

38 top gun,

The truck is coming along nicely. There's a lot of time invested there, I'm sure. Most people wouldn't tackle something like that. They would just sit back and wait for someone else to invest the sweat, and hope for a nice neat kit at the end of the rainbow. Kudos!

Thanks!!

We have definitely struggled to get to where we are today and now working with Sal I think we will make some nice gains. This computer stuff really makes life rough for the computer impaired. We were a year in having the internal parts made so it as been alot of work just to get to this point enjoy! Chet

Sal Chasis Dyno??

Sal, do you have a chasis dyno that you use on a regular basis or do you do your tuning at the race track, thanks, Chet

Chet I use both actually. If given the opprotunity by the customer, I will use the dyno to get the motor tune correct, then I will do furthur tuning at the track to get the shift points and transmission functions correct. I have also added a new tool to my tuning arsenal, a G-force datalogger (thanks Andy). With this tool, I can see exaclty how the truck is affected by shifting, to see if we need to add or take away shift pressure and duration, and we can also see how the 60fts are affecting the run, and we can also see if power is dropping off at any point during the pass.
