Horn not as loud???
Horn not as loud???
Hey guys,
My horn is working, but it is not as loud as it was, I cleaned my truck today and it has just started with this.
Does anyone know why this may be, could it just be water in the horn?
Thanks for any help anyone has.

i have the same problem w/ my 00 L. it wasnt because of water w/ me though. i blew my horn at someone that pulled out in front of me and it worked fine, then when i got out locked the doors, it sounded like a ricer horn. it happened about 2 months and it hasnt fixed itself, so i know its not water.
if it a fuse, does anyony know where the fuse is?

My L used to have awesome sounding horns until I was caught in an unexpected flash flood. It sounded like it lost some of its low pitch, and it seems a little 'anemic' now. I thought it would improve after it dried out, but it never got better. I wondered if maybe the connectors corroded or something. It still manages to scare people, but it's not as satisfying as before
I'm thinking about putting new horns on now...

Maybe there's some significant shinkage down there, eh. Try rubbin' your L's driveshaft or tailgate to get 'er going again.
The fuse panel is to the left of the steering wheel around the area of the hood release. There's a little handle and the word 'Fuses' by it. Pull out towards you, then there's another cover. Squeeze in the 2 areas together where it says, to take the cover off, and voila. Just locate which fuse it is through your manual. Should tell in there some place. Happy hunting. You'll be horny again in no time. Sorry, couldn't resist.
