Going on the dyno tomorrow, what did you pull when stock?

Hey Guys:

Going on the dyno in search of an answer to my missing hp.

What kind of numbers did you guys pull when you were stock?

Also if anyone knows their A/F that would be helpful too.

Thanks

Steve

Sorry Steve,

I never dynoed mine stock. With the mods in my sig, it had a/fs of mid to lower(11.2) 11s--way rich because of the 'safe' chip tune.

Well i don't really know if my ratings are the standard because i'm kinda experiencing the same problem as you. I dyno'd my 99L on a dynojet computer.. With my air raid it came in at 335RWHP and 414flb torque...When i added my JDM superchip it only went up to 345RWHP and 418flb torque. Don't know A/F..Even if it is shy of some HP and torque numbers, It sure doesn't feel like the seat of the pants of the numbers shown.. Let me know how it goes man..

Take care

Well Folks:

My brand new 02 Lightning made 341 hp and 413 ft. lbs bone stock with 2300 miles on it. About 20 less than most people here it looks like. The curve is nice and flat, and Anderson's had one on file that was modded, but just making a little more than most of you. It looked to be more everywhere, and I think would explain my missing .5-.6 and 3mph.

This is about as little hp as I would think you could have and still think you were making the factory 380 at the crankshaft.

Couldn't find anything wrong with the truck. Air fuel looked about optimal.

I'm going to try warrantying a TPS and a MAF meter. If that doesn't get it where its supposed to be, I'm going to take the POS back and just get a used F150 XLT.

Thanks for all the responses.

Steve

how many miles on your 02 LXguy? Being that its an 02 it still may need more time to break itself in.. I've heard guys on here posting about their new 02 Ls didn't seem to be making much power..After everything settles itself in, including the PCU maybe the power will be up to par. I know i posted about trading my 99L on an 03 cobra but it would also be a financial setback for me. Also i was talking out of anger and disapointment in my truck. Extra on insurance and on my payments and i'd sures hell hate to drop down from a L to something slower..Like i said, i know how you feel but don't let it get you down...I think it may be a few minor fixes..Just take your time troubleshooting whats going on..My L is not as fast as before but the more troubleshooting i'm doing is making it run better and better to the point where its all in my mind...Good luck on whatever you plan on doing...

Take care

Yeah, I know about talking out of anger.

I really like the truck and like driving it, and like the way everybody pays attention to it, but its a goddam lot of money to go high 13s in the quarter, and then have to spend more just to get where everyone else was in the first place.

Hopefully that Mass Air will do me some good.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Steve

Hey LX...Let me know how that Mass Air works for you..That may be the same problem with mines...Not a good feeling when people look in awe at our trucks and we know it doesn't run as good as it looks.. Please keep me informed because if that works for you, thats my next step
