Ugh! Cracking rotors!
I've noticed some really thin "cracks" on my front rotors. These would best be described as hairline cracks that are radial in their orientation. There's about 50 per rotor. These cracks don't appear to go completely through the rotor; and there is no discoloration of the rotor. Has anyone seen this before? Additionally, when I'm coming to a stop, I feel a wierd sensation in the pedal. It's not quite grinding; but something close. I don't feel the sensation from ~70 to 30; but I do feel it from 30 to 0. There is no pulsating either.
Thanks in advance,
Edward

Oh yeah, I got those really really bad and they only get worse in time.
Best solution is to buy new rotors that are stronger and possible slotted.
I just bought some new ones from www.frozenrotors.com they are supposed to be a pretty sweet rotor and last allot longer and provide more braking. then you can have them slotted for more additional braking.
These are my new ones from them, I'm just waiting on new bearings to get them installed.

Yeah, it looks just like that but without the concentric striations. My rotors have a more uniform appearance. Thanks for the visual, Spike.

The surface "cracks" (not actually cracks though) aren't anything to worry about. Mine typically get the surface checking sooner or later and I don't worry about it.
Have you done anything unusual to heat up the rotors? If you got the rotors hot, they may have warped, which would cause the pulse in the brake pedal. This also happens to my rotors often and is generally when I replace them (other than cracking them - picture below).
BTW, the concentric striations look worse than actually what is there. It's more from an aggressive pad and a lot of heat. Here's a side view and you'll notice that the surface isn't as bad as the other picture makes it look (although you may notice the pad was a roman candle):
