I was wondering if anyone knew what thread the small plug in the back of the left cylinder head is. This plug faces rearward, and is just above the "ear" on the trans case, it is the smaller of the two plugs closest to the bottom corner of the head.

I am hoping that is the oil feed passage for the cam on that head, if so would it be good to put an oil temp sender there?

I really don't want to put a hole in the pan if I can avoid it.

Any help would be VERY much appreciated.
