a low point when they were talking about the new Cobra. I don't want another vehicle without the screaming blower under the hood. I love the sound of the eaton on the L and I'm sure it sounds just as good on that 4.6L Cobra. I just can not believe they don't like the blower whine.

 

The only reason it's a low point is b/c Ford didn't give them any money to give it a good review.

 

Its because they are a bunch of old-*** baby boomer yuppie wusses.

Don't believe me, read the high point and low points they give any pickup truck.

In short;

Any pickup that gives up utility to behave like a car = good.



They basically suck.

I love the whine so much I increased it with a new filter and an intake! Now it sounds real nice.

 

Right after reading their opinion of the 03 Cobra I cancelled my subscription. I agree with captainoblivious. I took a 03 convert out last week at work and it sounded just as loud with the top up as our trucks. I put the top down and it was louder. Sounded much better!

If I could get one it would be the convert for sure! Just to hear the Blower that much better. That mag has lost credibility IMHO!

I think they also bonged the '03 because it doesn't come with a heated latte cupholder.

Isn't there also a line in there about how they aren't impressed by 'violent acceleration'? But they love the Viper, right?

They should change the name of that magazine to 'We are tools'.

I for one hate the blower whine,, in fact,, after i bought my L, i had the blower removed and gave it to the junk yard,, what a peice of crap,, i just bought the L for the looks, who needs the extra horses, its not like its effective at all with how much wheel spin we have upon acceleration,, its as if its a water boat,, i haven't driven a bigger peice of garbage in my day,, Eaton makes a terrible blower,, and whats with the loud trashy exhaust it comes with stock,, i hate loud exhaust,, i hate having to wake the neighbors when i floor it in front of the house, and i totally hate scaring people on the freeway when i gun it past them cause they just seemed to **** me off at the wrong time,, why cant i just do all that without making any noise,, i'd trash my muffler but then it would only be louder,,, maybe i should get it soundproofed??

Toast, I junked my blower a long time ago man. I just threw it away, didn't even sell it, because I hated it so much. Hey, on top of getting rid of all engine noise, I dynomatted everything, everywhere, give it a shot, works really good duuuuuuude.

 

You've gotta be kidding me! Supercharger whine annoying on the '03 Cobra? Please take off the Depends and throw away the walker. The name of your magazine is "Car and Driver" not "Old Dude", am I right? Is the car fast? Is it fun? Does it handle well? Perhaps you'd be happier in a quiet and boring Kia. Supercharger whine too loud? You want quiet? Put on some Lawrence Welk, and allow some younger folk drive and review the cars in your magazine.
