Firebird

Saw a new Firebird in town. Read where you can get a 5.7L option with 310HP, but couldn't find any performance reviews. How fast are these things?

my roomnate has a 2001 and bone stock it ran 13.7 here in socal. I've heard of guys on the east coast running 13.2. The 2001 (WS6 package) came stock with 320 hp, and I think the 2003 comes with 325 (final year of production for these cars)

5.7L is not an option though....it comes on all TA's and Formulas with over 300HP. The WS6 comes with upgraded intake and stuff like that for a few more HP -

I was thinking of getting one of these but got the '01 Harley instead...and I am !

I am thinking it might be the stripped down TA, no power windows, locks, broke a$$ radio, maybe even no foglights.

The no frills Trans Am, said to be significantly lighter than the usual F-body by a hundred pounds or so.

Here's what you can expect from a '01 Firehawk with 3.73s, full exhaust, lid, and probably a shifter thrown in.

It had a pretty wild hood with dual scoops and a spoiler. Small town, sure I'll get a better look at it soon. From what I saw, not a bad looking car.

Sounds mean I can't wait to run some of these so called fast cars around here. I did see one hell of a ricer at the shop that balenced my engine, the little 4 should put out around 600hp turboed and feed with Nitrous. The shop owner wants us to race it should be close.
